Acoustic normal mode dispersion curves, mode shapes, and modal-based horizontal coherence are used to define a three-objective optimization problem for geoacoustic parameter estimation during the Shallow Water experiment in 2006 (SW06).
The influence of internal waves on sound propagation and modal behavior are study to determine the subsequent effects on geoacoustic inversion. In this project, airgun signals are used to invert on the sediment layer during the SWARM95 experiment.
