Dictionary learning for sound speed profiles
Dictionary learning (DL), an unsupervised machine learning method, is used to sparsely represent sound speed profiles (SSPs). In addition, DL is employed for supervised classification of SSPs.
Statistics and modeling of internal waves
Detailed measurements of the ocean environment were made during the SW06 experiment. Non-linear internal wave (NLIW) events are reconstructed and analyzed to provide a statistical summary of important NLIW parameters, such as the NLIW propagation speed, direction, and amplitude.
