Mac OS X RADIUS CLIENT CONFIGURATION

Setting up a Mac OS X client get access to the network:

  • Click on the wireless icon.
  • Select Open Internet Connect.
  • Click on File, then New 802.1X Connection, which enables another tab for 802.1X connections. Enter your Unix username/password and the Wireless Network you want to connect to (“acad” is the Wireless Network to use)
  • Click on Configurations then Edit Configurations. You will be prompted to save the configuration. Name it “EECIS”.
    You will then get a window as follows:
  • Check off everything other than TTLS.
  • Click on TTLS and click on Configure
  • Select PAP as TTLS Inner Authentication:
  • Click OK then OK again. Try to connect.
  • During authentication you will likely be prompted to accept the certificate for the server. Click on Accept All.
  • Open Firefox or Safari and see if you can access the internet. Use the Help Request System if you have trouble.
