CISC 873 Compiling for Advanced Architectures

(Fall Semester 2002)

Welcome to CISC 873's web page!

This course examines both the theoretical and implementation aspects of techniques for generating code for advanced uniprocessor and multiprocessor architectures. Topics include register allocation, code generation for pipelined, superscalar and VLIW architectures, dependence analysis and locality transformations, and compiling for parallel machines and embedded systems as well as other modern systems.

Meeting Times and Place

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 2:00-3:15 PM, 102A Smith Hall

Prerequisite: CISC672 or an undergraduate course in compilers, and CISC 662 or previous course in computer architecture, or permission of instructor
Restrictions: Undergraduates must obtain instructor's permission.
