CISC 367 Parallel Programming - 3 credits
Introduction to parallel programming concepts, methodologies, and tools. Programming techniques for programs that contain code segments that run simultaneously on multiple processors. Topics include: concurrency, decomposition, communication, load balancing, scalability, locality, granularity, performance evaluation.
Prerequisites: CISC 220 Data Structures

The midterm exam is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 1998, in class.
When logging into porsche: your login will be your last name, or the last eight characters of your name, which ever is shorter. Note that someone may already have an account with the same name as you. When this happens the account is given first character(s) of your first name, and your last name. Your initial password will be the last four digits of your student ID number. You should change your password the first time you access the system, by running the command passwd.
