.rhosts file

In your home directory on porsche, create a .rhosts file that includes all of the DEC Alphas as shown below, except replace username by your login name. The .rhosts file provides the ``remote authentication'' database for remote operations such as rlogin and rsh. The file specifies remote hosts and users that are considered trusted. Trusted users are allowed to access the local system without supplying a password. This file will be automatically executed for you when needed during the execution of your parallel program on the cluster. You can copy and edit the file from ~pollock/public/sample.rhost on porsche.
