Lorentz Transformation
Janusz Murakowski
February 28, 1997
Abstract:
The article presents an elementary way to derive
Lorentz transformation with the use of minimum assumptions. In fact the
only physical assumption, that is taken, is the mechanical equivalence
of different observers moving at a uniform velocity with respect to each
other. This, supplemented by the assumption of simplicity, results in three
possible transformations: elliptical rotation, Galilean transformation
and Lorentz transformation.
