About me

Rudolf (Rudi) Eigenmann is a Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a minor appointment in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences. From 1995 to 2017 he was at Purdue University, where he was a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. From 2013-2017, he also served as Program Director in the National Science Foundation’s Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure. His core research interests include optimizing compilers, programming methodologies, tools, and performance evaluation for high-performance computing, as well as the design of cyberinfrastructure. He is also involved in the activities of UD’s Data Science institute , where he is directing the Center for Data-intensive and Computational Science (DiCoS). He was the inaugural director of research for UD’s FinTech Innovation Hub . Dr. Eigenmann is an IEEE Fellow. He has published his work in over 200 papers. His Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science is from ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
