Summer Research Program
For over 20 years, the College of Engineering at the University of Delaware has attracted outstanding international students into its graduate and doctoral programs. Through this program, visiting scholars collaborate directly with UD faculty on frontier research across engineering, computing, and the sciences.
Over 200 students from Colombia, Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia, and Venezuela have participated — many going on to pursue doctoral studies at UD or careers at leading institutions worldwide.
2026 Summer Research Exchange
We plan to select 15–20 participants for the summer program. Matching is based on mutual research interests between applicants and UD faculty.
Visiting scholars cover transportation and visa costs. The University of Delaware and hosting faculty provide a stipend to cover living expenses in Delaware.
Research disciplines
The program covers a broad spectrum of disciplines across the College of Engineering and partner departments.
