• 04/27/03
  • Hostbased login from all machines (except maccarony and the IPCs) to hepzibah works again.
  • Hostbased login from hepzibah to all machines (except mort -- no idea) has been fixed. (Required setting /usr/libexec/ssh-keysign from mode 0555 to mode 4555 [SUID]. ssh-keysign reads /etc/ssh/ssh_host*_key, which are root-readable files.)
  • Hostbased login from beauregard to all machines is fixed. Involved SUIDing ssh-keysign and replacing /etc/ssh/ssh_config with pogo's copy.
  • Current ssh combinations that don't work are: hepzibah to snavely and snavely to snavely

  • We had a power failure today in the lab. If anyone notices anything strange, let me know.

  • Hepzibah has been back up for a few days now. Its sshd is acting a little strange, though.

  • If you're wondering why hepzibah's down, it's because major work is scheduled for it and it's not working too well anyway.

  • I do not like this, sam-I-am. I do not like green eggs and hard disk errors on hepzibah.

  • Rebooted albert, cowbird, and bunnylou to sync them with NIS.

  • All has been quiet on the eastern front.
  • Log rotation is in place for apache on maccarony.
  • I wrote an SQL accessor program for the upcoming contributors database.
