After my car was backed into, it developed a whinning over 20MPH. (I'm still fighting with Ins. Co. on how a drivetrain can get damaged without any body damage... sigh) I had the rear completely rebuilt by Fox Run Automotive in Bear, DE. New axles, complete bearing kit, new Auburn posi carrier and Splicer 3.73 ring&pinion. The mechanic says the whining was from a failed axle bearing that took out the axle splines and carrier splines. Said it was probably close to failing and the accident accellerated the process.
