In this talk I will discuss the hot topic of mobile agent. First, I will give a few application examples as motivations for the mobile agent computing paradigm. Then I will introduce the common concepts related to mobile agent. Last, I will present CORBA's IDL definition of its Mobile Agent Facility to make the concept concrete.
At the beginning of the talk there will be a brief introduction on the basics of CORBA. This talk is based mainly on the OMG Mobile Agent Facility document which can be retrieved from ftp://ftp.omg.org/pub/docs/1995/95-11-03.pdf.
