The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering has launched a joint Master degree program with several Colombian institutions.
The aim of the agreement is to provide qualified students a joint graduate education program so that upon completion, they can simultaneously receive a Master (MS) Degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UD and from the following departments in Colombia

Program Description
There are two modalities of this program:
Modality 1, MS Thesis completed at UD: The students are expected to complete their first two academic periods in Colombia, and the remaining studies at UD (a minimum of two academic periods) in the Master Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Modality 2, MS Thesis completed in Colombia: The students are expected to complete their first two academic periods at UD in the Master’s Degree Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and the remaining studies in Colombia.
For both modalities, the coursework requirements for completing the Dual Master Grade will be those of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UD: two (2) ECE foundation courses (3 credits each one) and six (6) ECE advanced technical courses (including at least one 800 level ECE course).
In addition to the coursework, the students must develop a thesis work (Master Thesis) that must be approved by a research advisor and Department chairperson in both universities. Students are expected to carry out original, publishable research in collaboration with their advisor and thesis must report the results of this research.
Graduate courses taken at the universities in Colombia can be transferred to UD and vice versa. The list of transferable courses will be established by both universities on an annual basis.
Requirements
Modality 1: The universities in Colombia are in charge of selecting students for this program according to the following selection criteria
The students should complete their first two academic periods in Colombia, and must complete the standard graduate studies application required for admission into the graduate program of UD.
Academic performance and proficiency in English. The students should provide GRE and TOEFL scores.
Modality 2: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UD is in charge of selecting students for this modality.
The students should complete their first two academic periods at the University of Delaware, and must complete the standard graduate studies application required for admission into the graduate program in Colombia.
Academic performance and proficiency in Spanish are required.
