| 01/25/2002 | Repeater Maintenance - Antenna Replacement |
The W3UD repeater received a brand new Hustler G6-144B antenna. Installed by Chuck Hanavin and John Mikus, this antenna was temporarily placed upon the small tower (as opposed to the main tower which contained the old omni-directional antenna) until we can find adequate assitance to place the new antenna atop the 38 foot crank-up tower (bringing the repeater ant back to 70 feet). The repeater antenna is located about 45-50 feet above ground level at this time. Please try out the repeater and forward any comments/suggestions to the club. |
