Web Applications
These are some of the web applications that I built over the years. They use PHP and MySQL.
eGIFT is a tool that allows biologists to search for genes of their interest. eGIFT displays information about these genes, such as documents in which the genes are mentioned, as well as terms from these documents that appear to be relevant to the genes. I built this tool during my graduate studies at University of Delaware, and much of the research conducted for my doctoral dissertation is included in this tool.
This work was part of the Graduate Assistantship I had with the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at University of Delaware. This application keeps track of the graduate students enrolled in the department - searches cand be conducted, information can be saved, student information can be updated. Permission is required to view this application.
This is a virtual gallery of artists and their works. The website is targeting art buyers. This application was changed and improved over the years. The last version was completed a few years ago and it is available on the Internet. The database is being updated through the use of an interface designed in PHP.
This is a database of Romanian artists - their biographies, masterpieces, sales. The database is to be used mainly by art collectors. It is also a very good resource for finding information about artists and masterpieces sold in the past. A limited version of the database is available to everybody. The full version is available only with subscription. The application is built in PHP. I also provided a local interface, built in PHP, which facilitates the weekly updating of the database.
