VINAY SRIDHARA

I successfully defended my Ph.D. dissertation on 3rd April 2007. My dissertation document can be found under the publications section.

I am a part of the research group with Dr. Stephan Bohacek. Prior to my Ph.D. @ University of Delaware (Department of Electrical Engineering), I completed my M.S. in Computer Science in Aug 2002 from University of Southern California, Los Angeles. My primary research interest lies in the area of Distributed Computing and Networking.

My Current research is focused on developing realistic propagation and mobility models for simulation of urban mesh networks and studying the simulatability of wireless mesh networks. I have been working on perforfsmance evaluation and enhancement of wireless mesh networking protocols under realistic scenarios.

More on my research work can be found under publications and UDelModels.

"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat." -- Albert Einstein
