Graduate Student, CIS Dept., University of Delaware

About Me....

I am a second first year Graduate Student in the Dept. of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Delaware.I did my B.E.(Bachelor of Engineering, Honours) from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jadavpur University, India (2005-2009). My advisor was Prof. Sivaji Bandyopadhyay.
Before coming to Newark, I worked for more than a year and half with an EDA vendor Interra Systems as a Software Engineer.

My interests lie in the broad field of Artificial Intelligence. Natural Language Processing and Generation is an area in which I did my undergraduate project work and would love to explore domain further. In NLP I am mainly interested in areas such as anaphora resolution, generation of referring expressions, summarization, automated QA systems, sentiment analysis, word sense disambiguation etc.. Machine Learning is an area which interests me a lot. I would like to explore use of statistical probability based techniques to improve NLG systems.
I am also interested in Information Retrieval, Search Engine Algorithms and Text Processing.
