Use Case: Time program with intermediate breakout times
Actor(s): software designer
Purpose: measure elapsed time of a program unit and of certain parts.
Description:

Designer inserts timer calls at top and bottom of each program unit to be measured. He designates intermediate spots for which timing is to be recorded as well.

Designer then runs code and obtains user time display. Depending on design he either puts display options in code or controls display from a gui interface after the fact. For example he may want segment lengths reported, or cumulative times reported or both. He probably wants the sum (overall time) even if he wants non-cumulative times for the sections.
