ELEG 667 – 015   - Nanoelectronic Device Principles – Spring 2003
Course Project – Novel Device Design

As described in lecture, imagine you are the CTO of a start up company that is in desperate need of a new high –tech product to overwhelm the competition.  You decide on a novel device with unusual properties that will be vital for practical applications, and will significantly improve performance compared to the prior art.  In order to secure funding for your project, you need to present the design feasibility to the skeptical board of directors, and the venture capitalists.  In one page, show the basis of device operation, and back up your technical claims with calculations that you learned from your invaluable experience with your nanoelectronics device course taken while you were in graduate school.

1. Due Thursday, May 1, 2003:  Title and abstract for your device design proposal  (this will not be graded – only for helpful comments)

2.  Due Thursday, May 15, 2003:  Complete one page technical description including all figures, equations and supporting materials.  Do not give a bibliography (use footnotes if you must).  This will be graded (10 % of course grade). (minimum font size: 10)
