Plotting hints to obtain 40:1 scale factor

There is a point when the designs in Ledit need to be printed out at

the desired scale factor.

Tanner says to proceed to scale as follows:

(1) Go to PAGE SETUP > set SCALING to FIXED

(2) Go to FILE PRINT

There they ask for PIXELS(printer unit increments) per INTERNAL UNIT (L-Edit unit increments).

1 PIXEL = 1 postscript point = 1/72inch = 352.7um

=================================================

Plots can be scaled by the ratio between the printer and L-Edit units.

Example:

========

If a circuit design has internal unit = 1um.

Printout is 1:1 if 1 PIXEL = 353 INTERNAL UNITS

Printout is 40:1 if 40 PIXEL = 353 INTERNAL UNITS (this is what we need)

Example:

========

EE650 has internal unit = 20um (our minimum feature size)

printout is 1:1 if 1 PIXEL = 18 INTERNAL UNITS

printout is 40:1 if 40 PIXEL = 18 INTERNAL UNITS
