Starting the online manual program, openbook
********************************************************************************

Enter cell_design, a subdirectory of cadence (The directory you
established when you copied shared software earlier in this
file.) Do a directory listing to confirm that the file .cdsinit
is present.

If it is not present, use the cp -r command as described
earlier to copy the files.

If it is present type "openbook &" at the Unix prompt. This
invokes the online software manual, and allows you to execute
additional applications at the same time (such as layoutPlus
cell designer).

The OpenBook main menu will now appear on your screen.
If you are not sure where to begin, I recommend skimming through
some of the openbook user's guides. This will give you an
opportunity to become familiar with navigating openbook. The
user's guides are found in the category below:

Cadence System
Administration

        Configuration Guide
        Installation Guide
        OpenBook User Guide

If you wish to return to the main menu, click on (B)ookmarks.
Then click on (s)how. A menu of paths and pages will then appear.
Skim this list until you find "intcoll/cadence/main.pl (p.1)".
This will start you over again.

Tips for navigating openbook.
********************************************************************************

1) When you read the User guide, it will recomend that you
click on an icon to return you to main. It takes a very long
time to get back to the main menu if you do so, so you are
better off learning how to use Bookmarks. A Bookmark search
is almost instantaneous, whereas the icon takes quite a while
to active.

2) Many of the chapters in the manual are 40-50 pages long. If
you are looking for a particular page, and forget to use a
bookmark on your last login, there is an alternative way to skim
the pages. If the page is toward the end of the chapter, click
the number next to the arrow in the openbook header. This will
automatically place you on the last page of the chapter. Now use
the arrows to page back and forth as needed.
