Project contribution included initial concept, system specification and student co-supervision. TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER, City of Medellin Telecom Company, Colombia, 1990-1993 * Responsible for traffic-related planning and design aspects of the company's 700,000+ subscribers network. * Designed channel and routing policies that directly influenced project investments of over $1,000,000. * Performed cost-benefit studies and economic- technological recommendations involving issues on SS7, ISDN, digital switching and transmission. * Designed and developed a testing system for the company's public payphones (software and hardware). Led a team of four technicians that successfully implemented the final prototype. VISITING PROFESSOR of Electrical Engineering, Pontificia Bolivariana University, Colombia, 1992-1993 * Designed and taught three different senior courses in the area of telecommunications. ----------------------------------------------------------- Education ----------------------------------------------------------- Ph.
