Subject: mix-up


    Two men bearing identical names, one a clergyman and the other a
businessman, lived in the same city. 
    The clergyman died at about the time the businessman took a trip
to Southern California.  Upon reaching the Pacific Coast, he sent his
wife a telegram informing her of his safe journey.  Unfortunately,
the message was delivered to the widow of the clergyman.  Imagine the
surprise of the good woman when she read: 

    "ARRIVED SAFELY -- HEAT TERRIFIC."
