Subject: Religious joke



Jesus was hanging crucified upon the cross, suffering the torments in 
good spirit. After a few hours, however, he started to call out in a low, 
moaning voice, "Fetch Peter, fetch Peter!"  This went on for a long time, 
and eventually someone went to fetch Peter. Peter was reluctant to come 
to his Master, but eventually he did relent and came up to the cross.

By now Jesus was considerably weaker, and all that could be heard
was a piteous groaning "Peter, Peter!"

"I'm here Lord. What do you have to tell me?"

Jesus mumbled something, but it could not be heard from the ground,
so great was His pain, and so weak had He become. Peter therefore
shimmied up the crucifix and bent his ear close to the Lord. "Tell
me now, Lord. What is your last message as a mortal on earth?"

"Peter, Peter, I can see your house from here."
