This is the page for my 92 Z28 convertible.

The 17" billet aluminum centerlines are not on there anymore, I put stock wheels on it (stock 4th-gen wheels now). The centerlines are sold... supposedly not real good for road-racing. The 9 1/2" rims barely fit under there, but did fit.
The Timeslips above were achieved at (nearly) sea level, on a 60 degree night with mild humidity. The track stopped putting the conditions on the timeslip for some reason. This car has yet to break the N20-equipped IROC's 11.92 record.

Updated picture 4/02. 4th gen wheels, 406, T56, Auburn-pro/Richmond 3.42's.

Oct 8, 2000:

This car is slated for a T-56 swap for winter 2000. I have the parts on layaway now. Nothing that has not been done before.. but I get to do it now and maybe write something about it that you wont find elsewhere... or not.... we'll see.

May 4, 2003:

Finally updating this page somewhat... the 406 project page and the T56 swap page have had running updates, so go there too see more. 4 points of a 5 point rollbar is mostly installed, not in time for the F-body gathering at Indianappolis, so it looks like I'll be running 14's somehow. I finally fixed (mostly) the stitching on the convertible canvas (picture below). The car has run a best 12.56 on dry-rotted road tires.

Below are many links to picture directories for various projects. Someday I'll make comment pages... yea, right.

* T56 swap *
(a 6 speed transmission found in 4th gen camaros and corvettes mostly). No, they never put one in a production Thirdgen, but it's a common upgrade because the factory 5-speed trannys can't take alot of torque.

* 406 cubic inch engine *
fuel-injection retained. emissions (unofficially) legal.

* KB Subframe connectors *
A stock convertible is NOT a good drag-race car.

* 4th gen rear *
w/ auburn pro and 3.73 gears. good for road-racing, but I have to use 5th gear at the dragstrip due mostly to the position of the torque peak in the RPM range... the 406 likes LOW RPM even with a superram installed. (update 3-04 installed richmond 3.42's after exploding the 3.73's snatching 2nd gear on a prepared dragstrip. Exploded the PINION GEAR!)

* 4-point rollbar *
It needs a 5th point to be drag legal, but the road-racing event organizers seem to be knay with a 4-point.

* Indiannapolis f-body gathering 2003 *
Road racing, drag racing, auto-cross, car-show, tornados.

* Front bumper replacement *
An aluminum bumper was made in certain years... I finally found one in a boneyard. 10 lbs savings off the nose, and something to do on a saturday...

* A-arm bushing swap *
a bit unconventional, but a takes the "pressing out" out of the equation.

* 1LE front brake upgrade *
A-arms, spindles, steering components... the works.

* the littlist thirdgen serpentine belt. *
patent pending (yea right).

* stealth intake-pipe reinforcement *
If you have a 400 small-block, your rubber intake pipe will suck shut too. the perminant fix is a click away...

* stealth fiberglass hood replacement *
picture when just installed, unpainted... saves 50 lbs!

* 406/3.42 Dyno sheet 11-20-04 *
Superram, LT4 HOT Cam. It's no screamer but I like it.
