This test compared a ported Edelbrock TPI (p/n 3860) intake base
to a similar base that has had it's runner ports siamesed together about
1.75" into the base, leaving an effective intake runner length thru the
base of about 4.5". The engine was entirely the same, consisting
of a ZZ4 crate motor, AFR190 heads, LT4 HOT cam, and SLP 1-3/4" SS headers.
Porting pictures of the base can be found HERE.
Dynorun.012 was the best previous run after the AFR190 heads were installed with a regular ported Edelbrock TPI base. Dynorun.015 was the best run with the semi-siamesed Edelbrock TPI base.

ALDL Data from 1/4-mile runs above (LHS=Regular ported Edelbrock TPI base; RHS=Siamesed ported Edelbrock TPI base )
This test just compares the dynamics of the short-runner intake design of the MiniRam and the effective short-runner design of siamese'ing the adjacient ports of the TPI intake base. Since the cylinder heads used in these two tests are different, they can not be directly compared for performance.
