• Web Programming Activities designed to attract girls to become creators of technology in addition to users. Projects will include animation, multimedia, interactivity, and graphical user interfaces. Example projects are design and implementation of electronic rsvp's, shopping carts, chat rooms, and games.
  • Cooperative Group Laboratory Projects to demonstrate the project group experience of many computer careers and encourage cooperative learning.
  • Guest Speakers by local researchers from the University of Delaware, government and industry as well as industry personnel in computer science, to gain exposure to the opportunities in computer science.
  • Career and Education Awareness Discussions to educate the participants about possible career directions and the college life as a computer science major.
  • Social Activities to enable mingling among high school participants, undergraduate and graduate women in computer science at UD, and the female faculty in Computer and Information Sciences at UD.
Each week will have a special emphasis, the last two weeks concentrating on individual projects.
