And, of course, we have lots of great places to eat on Main Street, such as Home Grown, Caffe Gelato, and Iron Hill.
This site is now a Wiki. Details on proper wiki syntax can be found here, or you can use the handy buttons at the top of the editing pane.
If you are accessing this site from a CIS machine, you should be able to edit most pages. If you would like to make changes remotely (without first proxying through a CIS machine), you can create an account.
If you have the correct permissions, creating a new wiki page is as simple as adding a link to an existing page, clicking on it, and creating it! You’ll find out very quickly if you have the proper permissions – most users have permission to create new pages in the faq and forum namespaces. Also, be very careful about what you name your link, because it will become the name of the wiki file and be displayed in the upper right corner of the page.

You sure can! Subscribe to CIS-GSA @ UD by Email, or keep an eye on our feed page.
Details on proper wiki syntax can be found here.
External and internal links use double square brackets, with the resource to be linked separated from the name of the link by a pipe:
[[http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:syntax|wiki syntax]] [[:faq:general|FAQ]]
These links look like:
wiki syntax
FAQ
Namespaces are separated by a colon. Within a namespace you do not need to include the namespace name to link to general but I included it here for illustration.
Not only can you link to internal and external pages in the wiki, you can upload and link to internal files as well. All CIS users can upload files into the faq namespace.
To upload a file:
faq namespace.Browse to select a file to upload.To link to a file, click on the filename in the pop-up window. Example syntax of a link to a pdf would be:
{{:faq:what_is_grad_school_about.pdf|What is grad school about?}}
And would look like: What is grad school about?
