Under normal conditions errors rarely happen. So the only way to see errors is to disconnect the cable and then many/many errors occur. Modify the BERT TX code to add a LOAD_ERROR signal to XSPORT(D2). On rising edge of that signal, the TX should generate exactly one bit error and it should be displayed on the 7 segments LED display.
