My name is Boyu Zhang. I am currently a first year PhD student at the Computer and Information Science Department of the University of Delaware. Before I came to UD, I spent a year as a PhD student at the Computer Science Department of the University of Texas at San Antonio. I obtained my Bachelor's degree from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China. My research interests include distributed computing and parallel programming. I am working at Global Computing Lab(GCLab) headed by Prof. M. Taufer who is my PhD advisor. At the moment I am focusing on applying MapReduce to scientific applications.
