Goals:
|
- Study
computer networks as developed in the text. We will pay particular attention
to the theory presented in Chapters 1-6.
- Study
the various layers in the protocol stack.
- Study
important examples of networking, including Ethernet, the Internet, and
wireless networks.
- As time
permits, we will introduce various Internet applications including ftp,
http, email, and streaming multimedia.
- As time
permits, we will discuss network security issues.
