Wireline Support Engineer (Intern)

During my internship with Nortel Networks, I supported the main telecommunications company of the Colombian government, Telecom. Telecom and Nortel Networks worked together providing phone lines to a large part of the Colombian territory.
My responsibilities included translation tables and configuration of central offices DMS-100i, and at some point provisioning of hardware for the DMS-100. Thanks to all the background obtained, I was able to win a proposal for building a test system for the subscriber lines. The results of that project were nominated as best degree project, and included analog and digital hardware, as well as microcontroller programing and GUI development for PC users.
