It is a challenging work configuring and monitoring services for the company that controls more than the 80% of the data communications in a country. Impsat has fiber optic rings providing a fast speed backbone for its SDH networks and carries data from several customers with Satellite (SCPC and VSAT) channels, radio and copper links using Frame Relay, ATM and IP.
During my experience at Impsat, I had the chance of setting up satellite links and configuring modems, stablish radio links, add new customers and services to the network, and even setup SDH high-speed channels on the national fiber optic rings. I had the chance of supporting customers and also the backbone network.
