Face matching among different modalities have so many interesting applications in homeland security.

Abstract

Face matching among different modalities, including visible, near-infrared(NIR) and depth facial images(3D) is a very difficult problem compared with the face matching within the same modality. And using different equipment under different spectral spectrum is a very useful technique in reality. There are several advantages in this work. First, correlation learning coupled with discriminant learning has been proposed to deal with patch based face recognition among different. Second, attribute information has been introduced into the work of heterogeneous face recognition. Third, the very complete experiments have been conducted in this work to analyze the versatility of the proposed scheme. And the experiments results also validate the effectiveness of our proposed scheme.
